Daphne--learning to eat Oreos the RIGHT way.  Dipped in milk.  MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm.
Beck's idea of helping with the laundry is getting inside the basket with it.
Kelly's absolutely perfect Valentine's Day present to
me
We finally decided to do some remodeling of our horribly stained carpet.  Off-white and toddlers don't mix.  And it was such a drab, cold shade of beige.  So when we found the unbelievable prices at the Carpet Barn, we got a bunch of swatches to try out and went for it.
We finally go to open up the hatch to the "secret room" I'd been told about by a former owner, where they used to hide polygamist wives in the 1890's.  It ended up being nothing more than a crawl space, however, with nothing in it but dirt.  DANG!  I'm still holding out for the root cellar to be full of treasure, though.
We had high hopes of finding wonderful, original hardwood floors under the carpet.  However, we found crappy, miscelaneous wood floors and some seriously scary linoleum from the 1930's.

Our house looked like it was stuck in a black and white movie, for crying
out loud!
We even bought a new comforter to celebrate the new look of bedroom.  Not that we didn't love the red and white disco quilt Kelly's grandma tied circa 1976 (see top "before" picture),  but  change is always nice.
We got about 14 inches of snow within a couple of days.  This winter storm was "no picnic" hardee har har.
We have expanded Daphne's food groups to include the powerdered candy group.  and her utensils are now made of compressed sugar.
